(Sawtooth Mountains) McGown Peak, although not quite 10,000 ft high, is one of the more famous and easily accessible mountains. It provides the beautiful backdrop to Stanley Lake.

This painting made me quiver with pleasure when I first saw it, I must admit. I really love the way the reflections glisten off the water and the way the sun seems to peek out from behind those rock-hard mountains. Also, I'm very impressed with the way those blue letters at the bottom were done. They go wonderfully against the darkness of the lake! Truly a fabulous piece of work - super job!
