Artist's Description
Cape Perpetua is located about 2 miles south of Yachats, Oregon, along U.S. Route 101. Thor's Well is a salt water fountain driven by the power of the ocean tide. The hole is deceivingly deep, 20 feet or more of jagged rock, and you can never tell when an unexpected sneaker wave will come crashing into the well, knocking down anyone who might be in the way and possibly dragging them out to sea. Thor's Well is usually best seen at sunset approximately an hour before high tide to an hour after high tide.
Thor's Well is located at 44.278421N 124.113499W

I use oil paints to create my artwork, and due to my love of the outdoors, I primarily paint landscapes, which usually include mountains. ...
